Gas work with zero shortcuts.
Installation, repair, pressure testing and appliance hookups — permitted, inspected, and done by licensed pros who treat gas with the respect it demands.
Where gas problems come from here
On the Coast, the enemies of gas piping are corrosion and movement. Salt air works on exposed black iron threads and fittings, especially at the meter and anywhere a line runs outside to a grill, pool heater or outdoor kitchen. Soil movement stresses buried lines the same way it stresses water pipe. And decades-old systems often carry unions and shutoffs that were marginal the day they were installed.
The signs worth acting on: the rotten-egg odorant anywhere it shouldn't be, hissing near a line, dead grass over a buried run, appliances that burn yellow, or a gas bill that climbed without a reason.
What we do
Repairs start with isolation and a calibrated pressure test — the leak gets found by process, not by nose. New runs are sized from the total connected BTU load so your tankless heater doesn't gasp when the range and dryer join in. Materials match the location: coated or wrapped where soil and salt demand it, properly supported and bonded CSST where it's the right tool.
Every new line or modification ends the same way: pressure test witnessed, permit inspected where the jurisdiction requires, appliance fired and combustion verified before we leave.
If you smell gas right now
Get everyone out without touching switches or phones inside. From a safe distance, call your gas utility's emergency number first — they'll make the meter safe at no charge — then call us at the number above and we'll handle the repair and retest on your side of the meter. That order matters; the utility can't fix your piping, and we can't shut their meter. Both calls together get you back to normal fastest.

“Healthy gas appliances burn blue. A lazy yellow flame on the range means the mix is wrong — could be the appliance, could be the supply. Either way, that's a call, not a shrug.”
