Accessibility Statement

Reliance Mechanical wants every customer on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to be able to use this website, whatever technology they use. We are working in good faith toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is an ongoing effort rather than a finished state, and we welcome feedback.

What we have built in

• A “Skip to main content” link as the first item in the tab order on every page.
• Semantic landmarks — banner, navigation, main, and footer — with one <main> per page and a logical heading order.
• Full keyboard operation of menus, forms, and the cookie preference dialog, with a visible focus indicator.
• Form fields with real labels, clear instructions, and error messages that use text and icons rather than color alone.
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and empty alt text on decorative ones.
• Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast, and layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling at 200% zoom and on small screens.
• Tap targets sized for touch on mobile.
• Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” setting: animations are reduced or removed when it is enabled.
• ARIA used only where native HTML cannot express the role or state.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site rely on third parties we do not control, including embedded maps, the on-site AI chat assistant, review platforms we link to, and spam protection. Their accessibility can vary and may change without notice. We also add and edit content regularly, so an individual page may temporarily fall short of our target. Where a third-party component is a barrier, we will provide the same information or service to you another way — by phone, email, or in person.

Remediation

We review accessibility when we change the site, run automated checks as part of our release process, and fix issues we find. If you report a barrier, we will acknowledge it and work to resolve it or offer an accessible alternative, prioritizing anything that blocks you from requesting service.
