Intermittent problems are still problems

The hardest electrical faults are the ones that almost behave: the flicker that stops when you look at it, the breaker that trips every third Tuesday, the outlet that works unless the toaster's involved. It's tempting to live with them. But intermittent usually means a connection that's loose, corroded or overheating — a fault that's getting worse on its own schedule, in the dark, behind drywall.

Coastal homes breed these faults faster. Salt air corrodes terminations, summer attic heat cycles connections loose, and decades of amateur handiwork in older Gulfport and Biloxi houses leave splices where no splice should be.

How we hunt

Systematically, which is the whole trick. We start with your account of when it happens — that's real data — then work the circuit with the right tools: voltage drop measurements under load, thermal imaging to spot connections running hot inside walls and panels, and circuit tracing to map what's actually wired to what, which in older homes is rarely what the panel sticker claims.

When we find it — a scorched backstab, a neutral gone loose at the panel, a splice baked brittle in the attic — you see it, photographed, with a fixed price to make it right.

When not to wait

A few symptoms skip the queue: anything that smells like burning plastic, a switch or outlet that's hot rather than warm, breakers that won't reset, sizzling or buzzing from a panel, or lights that surge noticeably bright — that last one can be a failing neutral, which puts every device in the house at risk. For those, don't book online. Call the number at the top of the page, any hour, and we'll treat it like what it is.

Write down when the weird thing happens — which lights, which appliances running, what the weather was doing. Ten minutes of notes can save an hour of hunting, and your wallet notices the difference.
